You will have to reinstall some software that the registry was trashed by this software to get it working properly again. You will have to go into the registry and remove any links to bearshare to make sure this nasty does not raise its ugly head again. Hopefully you can at least enter Safe Mode and recover some of you files but before you copy your old files back on after a reinstall better make sure you have a damn good antivirus program.
Good luck people. You are spot on select uninsta to re instal but do not re instal and.. I curse the day I was mug enough to down load Bearshare.
It is not all it is made out to be as regards downloading free music etc. I have tried everything to get rid of it including removing files and icons, I have even tried to restore to a point when I did not have the programe. If I use the Bearshare address bar it comes up with something entirely different to that which I have asked. It has come to the point where there is no point trying to use my computer because Bearshare will not let me do what I want to do with it.
Has any body got any other ideas. They do it with the purpose of getting hard to uninsall it. What I can do now? I have bearshare in my computer and ive tried to follow the steps in a previous comment.
