Council hosts a program of fun events in September each year during Bike Week. NSW Bike Week is a state government initiative to get more people cycling. Council runs cycle safety workshops throughout the year for children and adults.

Grade: Medium Walk through the eastern end of the reserve on the Doyle Loop past caves, gullies and interesting rock outcrops.
The vegetation along most of the track is Sydney Sandstone Gully Forest with its Banksias, Angophoras and diverse shrub understorey. Strangers Creek has numerous water holes and rainforest species including magnificent Treeferns, Coachwood and Lillypilly trees.
Be sure to listen out for frogs. Grade: Easy Explore the middle of the Reserve. See magnificent Angophora trees and wildflowers most of the year. Walk along Cressy Rd past the cemetery to complete the loop. Grade: Easy Starting at the bridge this wheelchair accessible boardwalk follows along Buffalo Creek. Looping back towards the Education centre follow the pathway to return to the bridge. Look out for the long necked turtle, water dragons, ducks and eels. With its remnant bushland, rare rainforest species and sportsfield Brush Farm Park is a great place to explore.
The natural and cultural heritage of this bushland oasis area sets it apart from other parks and reserves in Sydney. Starting at the carpark, wander beneath the canopy of beautiful turpentine trees down into the rainforest gully.
Loop back to the start point along the eastern gully or venture west to the Bowling Club track or south onto the Lambert Park track. Continuing south from the Brush Farm Loop, you will notice a change in the vegetation as you walk along the filled valley.
Exit at the southern end near the Guide Hall or head up the steps to John Street.
